I know two types of Betta in Vietnam. One is the wild type living in the rice fields or swamps that appears to be like Bettetta Imbellis. The other one is a domesticated type that appears to be like Betta Splendens. My Betta is the domesticated type.
Recently, because Vietnam has open trade with the USA and many other countries around the world, different types of Betta are imported. I choose to mix my Betta with Thai and Malaysian champion blood-line. What I like from Thai fighting fish is that it has great endurance and fast movements. The Malaysian fighting fish attracts me by its noticible hard-like-metal scale. My formal Vietnamese fighting fish has wide body, very sharp teeth, and strong punch. After mixing the three blood-lines of champion Thai, Malaysia, and Vietnamese Betta together, I get my own special type of Betta that inherits all the strength of its ancestors. Moreover, it has a new good look (some are of show quality) and appears to be very healthy. At this point, I don't forget to give credits to my talented and skillful masters in Vietnam who spent a lot of time and effort to continuously develop and refine this type of Betta. So join in with me to enjoy this special type of fish which I name Crazy Dog Betta .
